Overview

PPP Centrum a.s. (joint stock company) was formed on the 1^st of July 2004 under authority of the government decree. PPP Centrum  only shareholder is the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic (MF CR).

PPP Centrum was established to speed up preparation of legal environment and methodological procedures in relation to PPP in the Czech Republic. Our public mission is to apply the best practice knowledge in governance and preparation of PPP projects. At present PPP Centrum acts as a knowledge centre for implementation of PPP projects.

Our commitment  is to:

• Successfully implement PPP projects in the Czech Republic
• Help to set and ensure best practice in developing, procuring and appraisal of PPPs
• Ensure sophisticated discussion and an exchange of information and knowledge obtained in realization of PPPs
• Minimize risks resulting from realization of PPP projects for public sector
• Serve all parts of the public sector in the whole preparation process of PPPs
• Ensure transparency and set up ethical standards
• Develop our professional capacity and serve as a centre of knowledge for the area of PPP in the Czech Republic
• Cooperate with the Departnement of Methodology and Regulation of PPP at the Ministry of Finance, which is responsible for monitoring and regulation of long term future liabilities of public budgets resulting from realization of PPPs
• Act with integrity, fairness and transparency

According to our mission PPP Centrum will assist only to the public sector (including central and regional authorities). The only financial income connected with PPPs will come from the Ministry of Finance and public sector sponsors.

Having founded PPP Centrum the Czech Republic fullfilled the recommendations of the World bank to create an individual unit, which takes care on fiscally save implemantation of PPP.
